- NO SURVEY POSTS.
Y'know, those "what ______ are you?" quizzes. They're annoying and pointless as heck. So just shove them in the Playroom, if you must.
- TOPICS IN CORRECT FORUM.
Fics, pics, music, and other creative stuff goes into the art forum. Game discussion goes in game discussion. Random crap goes in the Playroom. The 'discussion' board is for stuff that doesn't fit in any other category.
- KEEP "GOODBYE" AND "HELLO" ANNOUNCEMENTS TO A MINIMUM.
Nobody cares if you're leaving for a day. We'll all still be here when you get back, seriously, don't worry.
Coral: Please try and keep them in the "I'm New!" forum if they're really needed. ^_^; - NO LONG SIGNATURES.
If this gets out of hand, I -will- restrict pictures in your signatures. If you have broken pictures, I don't -care- if you can't find a webserver or you're poor, take the damn pictures out of your signature/icon/photo. You don't need thirty quotes, in fact, half of them are usually not that interesting anyways. A couple links to your website, side7, ff.net, whatever accounts is fine, but quiz results don't need to be in your signature. Your signature is just for other ways to contact you, or a witty ending to your post, not a huge biography.
- TRY TO TYPE NORMALLY.
I honestly don't care if you think your typing 'style' is cute, I still can't read whatever the hell you're trying to say. It takes a lot longer to read if your writing sounds like "& den i m4d3 4 k3wl pi3 & i 4t3 it" than if you just write NORMALLY. It isn't going to -kill- you to type out your "to"s and "are"s and "and"s. It's a basic part of netiquette to type like you're writing a report. We're not going to be grammar/spelling nazis, but you can -try- to spell and write correctly.
- BE COURTEOUS.
Basic netiquette. Be nice, kids, try to see both sides of an argument, don't curse and flame and do personal attacks on anyone. That can be kept off the messageboard. XD
Coral: This includes religion! No one likes to have their religion dissed, so follow the famous Thumper rule: "If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all!" - BE NICE TO NEWBIES.
They're people too, y'know.
- DON'T GET INTO ARGUMENTS YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT.
It's really. Freaking. Annoying when some random newbie comes along, says "oh, but this person seems nice you guys are all just meanies". If you don't know anything about the argument, or don't know anything about what the discussion is, you are not obligated to say something. Sometimes, it's just best to shut up and sit down if you don't know better.
- No "o.o" or "..." or "*has nothing to say" posts.
This is pretty self-explanatory. SOMETIMES, they're okay, but when they're there for the sake of being there, it's annoying and pointless.
- NO "I won't get into this argument" POSTS.
It's very pointless to post in the argument that you won't get into it. T_T This is like the rule above: if you have nothing to say, you have nothing to say. Don't make a post on how little you have to say.
- If you want to get known, make posts.
6400: And I don't mean Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages. Join in conversations, add to discussions, talk, make friends. That's the only way you'll ever get acknowledged and it will always be. - Admins are Not Gods.
This means that you do not have to worship or sacrifice to them.
This also means that you cannot blame everything on them.
They are people. They deserve respect, just like you do. You can politely ask them to do or not do something. If you do not have the wit to do this, then sorry, they cannot help you.
They will not ban you for being a heathen.
So please don't act like they will. - Stop complaining about all the rules
If you must, please point out one specifically, and have some very good points as to why you do not like it. It does not help to say "OMG THERE'S TOO MANY" In fact, it will probably make us add more, just to annoy you. - Stop complaining that nobody likes you
This may be a sign that nobody likes you. Perhaps you should find some somebodies who do. And perhaps there is a world outside of this messageboard.
Perhaps. - Your age is not an excuse.
You can be 2 or 20, you will be held accountable for your actions. Mommy and Daddy, get a real babysitter instead of letting your child run around on the internet, expecting everyone to give them lee way. - Read a post before you reply to it.
It makes you look extremely stupid if you don't know what you're replying to, but you reply anyways. - Keep posts to a minimum.
This doesn't mean to stop posting, just try and not make 2 or 3 new posts a day in one forum, or even every other day. No one likes going to the discussion forum and seeing 5 different posts by the same person only, or to the art forum and a few posts by just you featuring one drawing each. Please edit if you really feel the need to.
